Surge Space Project
Construction of the Surge Space project began on May 9th. The general contractor is Tiger Construction. The project is expected to last approximately to the end of the year.
This project is happening in the core of our campus, with additions to the Des McArdle Center (DMC) and College Services building and adjacent to classrooms and offices. Additionally, part of the project is to add parking on the north side of Campus. As with the Campus Center, all of us will feel the impacts. We will attempt to mitigate the disruption as much as possible but it will be noisy, dirty work.
Monday May 9th through Friday May 13th, the Contractor will be mobilizing on site: installing erosion control, tree protection and security fencing; and staking the buildings. Activity will begin with the DMC portion of the project and then flowing into the College Services area.
