Funding from Outside Agencies

The following state and local agencies may provide funds for tuition, books, and/or equipment needed as a student at BTC. Each one has its own guidelines for determining eligibility and for what can be funded. Students should check with the agencies that might fit their individual circumstances. BTC processes the funding paperwork for these students, but it originates with the agency.
- DVR (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation)

o Injured workers who need retraining in order to return to work
- Trade Act Adjustment (Employment Security)

- NWC Scholarships through WorkSource

o Individuals who are unemployed, at risk of losing a job, or underemployed

o Members of the Nooksack tribe approved for tribal funding to attend BTC

To qualify
- Follow the application process for the particular agency
- Provide, or have the agency provide, the necessary paperwork indicating what is paid for through that agency to the agency funding representative in Student Financial Resources at BTC
