The Disability Support Services Office summer hours:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closing for lunch from 12 noon - 1 p.m.
Fridays from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. |
Welcome to Disability Support Services (DSS) at Bellingham Technical College! We are located in the College Services Building, Room 106C. The DSS Office provides accommodation services to qualified students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Washington State Law.
Our Disabilities Counselor and our Program Office Coordinator work collaboratively with each student to ensure appropriate accommodations or academic adjustments based on the student’s individual needs. It is the student’s responsibility to identify themselves to the office of Disability Support Services and to provide clinical documentation regarding the nature and extent of their disability. An intake appointment is required. Requests for services need to be made at least six (6) weeks prior to each quarter by the student. Lack of advance notice may delay the availability of some accommodations.
