Career Exploration Resources
Interested in going to college but not sure where to start? Start by attending a College Navigation session to take career/vocational assessments, learn about career and wage outlook and get connected with other related resources. Sessions are held on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm. Call the Counseling & Career Center at 360-752-8450 to sign up.
Online Career Exploration Resources. These resources provide information on career pathways, employment outlook, wages and many other useful facts that can help you learn more about your opportunities. The BTC Library also has several other hardcopy resources on career exploration.
Résumés, Cover Letters and Interviewing
Individual assistance is provided to students and graduates with building and critiquing résumés, cover letters and practicing interviewing.

Career & Employment Fairs
Two targeted events are held annually when local and regional employers share their employment opportunities with students. The general public is also invited to attend to learn how BTC can be a tool to gain some of these jobs.

Internships
Many BTC programs include internships, either required or optional. Career Services can help with locating an internship in addition to what is offered through the academic programs
Off Campus Work-study
Work-study positions are available off campus for students who are eligible. Work-study is a form of Financial Aid that can provide a student with relevant work experience before they graduate. Contact Financial Aid at 360-752-8351 to determine eligibility. From there Career Services will assist with locating a local position.
