Presentations and Campus Visits

Employers are also welcome to talk to our programs when time permits or to schedule to setup a table in the Cafeteria to talk with students.

Internships

An internship is a beneficial and cost-effective way an employer can receive assistance from a student enrolled in a program related to their field of work. Internships are designated by the employer to meet the needs of the company while providing a work-based experience for the student intern. Interns may assist with projects, provide extra help during busy times or contribute their related skill and knowledge. BTC students complete internships for their programs with local, regional and national employers.

Work-Study

The Work-Study program provides jobs to students during their educational experience at BTC. Work-Study provides a meaningful work experience for students, and contributes to their education related costs during their training and growth at BTC. After a contract and job descriptions are developed, eligible students are interviewed by the employer and placed on a part-time basis. Students are hired and paid by the employers, and a percentage of their wages are reimbursed through the student financial aid package.

Career & Employment Fairs

BTC has two Career & Employment Fairs during the winter and spring quarters:
  • Health and Business Career & Employment Fair

  • Manufacturing, Construction and Engineering Career & Employment Fair
