What does "Admission" mean? At BTC, Admission is the process a student will complete to gain acceptance into the college into their program of choice. Most programs have a simple 3 step admission process. Click on Admission Application Process to learn more.
Do I need to apply? Not all BTC programs and courses require an admissions process. If you are not sure if you need to apply, click on Do I Need to Apply to see if your area of interest requires you to take additional steps.
What if I don't know what I want to study? If you are unsure of your educational goals, and you desire assistance in career exploration, meet with a BTC Counselor. You will receive career counseling, educational program planning, and/or vocational assessments. Meet with a counselor to discuss issues concerning disabilities accommodations, single parents, and displaced homemakers. Contact the Counseling & Career Center at (360) 752-8450 for an appointment.
What programs do you offer? BTC offers over 50 certificate and degree programs in a variety of fields. Programs are organized by clusters in the following areas: Business, Computer Technology and Management; Construction and Engineering; Health Programs and Child and Family; Manufacturing & Industrial Technology; Culinary Arts; Transportation and Mechanical Technology; Fisheries Technology. Are there any openings and/or when can I get started? It's never too late to get started! Some programs begin every quarter while other programs may only start once per year. In either case, there are always beginning classes you can enroll in to prepare for training or general education courses you can take in advance of your program courses. Click on Program Openings to view programs available for immediate entrance this quarter.
How much does it cost to go to school? If you are interested in a single class you will owe a flat rate for that specific course. You can find prices for individual classes in our Quarterly Schedule publication.
Program students are required to pay for tuition & fees, books, materials and supplies required for their specific program every quarter (every three months). The average cost for a U.S. citizen in a full-time program for one year including all expenses (except living) is $4,672.00.

Tuition & fees charges are based on the number of credits you are enrolled in as well as consumable costs, technology expenses, and other student body charges specific to your program. Books and other program supplies costs vary for each program.
