Start by attending a Career Exploration session to take career/vocational assessments, learn about career and wage outlook and get connected with other related resources. Check the events schedule for upcoming sessions. Call the Admissions & Student Resource Center at 360-752-8345 to sign up, or check out the "What's Happening at BTC" page to register online.

These resources provide information on career pathways, employment outlook, wages and many other useful facts that can help you learn more about your opportunities. The BTC Library also has several other hardcopy resources on career exploration.

Degree Audit

Degree Audit is a set of online tools to assist you and your advisor with evaluation and planning as you progress toward completion of a Certificate, AAS or AAS-T Degree. Degree Audit consists of the four features below which are described in detail in the Degree Audit Guide (PDF).

Planning Worksheet

Just need a quick planning resource you can scribble out? Use this simple 6 Quarter Educational Plan worksheet (PDF) with your advisor to map your plan of study on the go.

Schedule Planner

This online registration tool helps students identify available classes within the upcoming quarter. With Schedule Planner you can enter the courses you would like to take while selecting your available throughout the day, to find out the classes that would fit into your schedule. You can also register through Schedule Planner right away.

Check Your Transcript

An important tip is to frequently check your transcript to know your final grades and progress. Financial aid and other funding sources require student to maintain satisfactory academic progress so don’t get caught by surprise. Also, be prepared to bring your unofficial transcript when you meet with an advisor so you can discuss your progress together.
