Tari Mathews

Tari Mathews teaches in the Paraeducator short certificate program at BTC. She teaches EDUC 133 Para 2: Strategic Learning and EDUC 137 Reading, Writing, and Math for the Paraeducator. Tari has a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Western Washington University. She currently teaches special education at Nooksack Valley Middle School. Prior to that she taught in the Meridian School District. Tari has had extensive experience working with paraeducators in school settings.



Liz Wade

Liz Wade teaches in the Paraeducator short certificate program at BTC. She teaches one of the three required courses for the certificate-- EDUC 134 Para 3: Effective Instruction. Liz has a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She currently teaches first/second grade at Larrabee Elementary School in Bellingham. Prior to that she taught Kindergarten and pre-school Special Education for Bellingham Schools and K-12 Special education and Title 1 reading programs for Nooksack Valley School District. Liz has had extensive experience working with paraeducators in school settings.



Cindy Trott

Cindy Trott teachers in the Paraeducator short certificate program at BTC. She teaches the Para 1: Foundations of Learning course. Cindy has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Western Washington University. She currently is a classroom teacher at Skyline Elementary School in Ferndale. Prior to that she worked as a paraeducator in a variety of elementary settings.
