Potential Positions Program graduates work as bookkeeping assistants, accounts receivable/accounts payable clerks, ledger clerks, and payroll clerks. Nationally, about 25% of bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks are employed in wholesale or retail trade and 35% are employed in organizations providing business, health, educational, and social services.

Virtually all job openings will stem from replacement needs as other clerks and assistants transfer to other occupations or leave the labor force.
